THE ESSENTIALS, AT A GLANCE
BEFORE YOUR FIRST SESSION EACH SEASON
First, the essentials.
Each student must complete the current season’s waiver and Pre-session intake form using their legal name as shown on their ID. Both are required before taking a session.
Sign your waiver
Choose the student’s age group. Read the full document before signing.
Pre-session intake form
Tell us about the student, allergies, health restrictions and anything the instructor should know.
Complete the formEach student only needs to complete these documents once per snow season. If you have already signed this season’s waiver and completed the pre-session intake form, you may disregard the reminders above.
YOUR GUIDE TO A SMOOTH START
Know before you go.
From confirming your plans to the last handover, here is what to expect.
PLAN AHEAD
Rescheduling & cancellations
Once a session is confirmed, your instructor reserves that time for you. These rules apply to changes to either the date or the time.
24 hours or more
Request a change in your session group chat, or cancel the booking and keep the session pending for rebooking within its validity period. New bookings are subject to instructor availability.
Less than 24 hours
The session cannot be rescheduled or cancelled. A last-minute cancellation or no-show counts as a used session.
Booking at short notice? Sessions purchased or confirmed less than 24 hours before the start time cannot be rescheduled, cancelled or refunded once confirmed.
Cancelling a booking does not mean a cash refund. Refund requests are governed by the applicable refund policy.
EVERY STUDENT · EVERY SEASON
Forms & health information
Complete both the current season’s waiver and Pre-session intake form before the student’s first session of each season. Students cannot take a session until both are complete.
Use your legal name
Use the name shown on your ID. A parent or guardian must complete or sign the relevant parts as required by each form.
Keep us informed
Accurately disclose allergies, health restrictions and other information your instructor needs. Tell the instructor before the session if anything has changed.
GIVE YOURSELF TIME
Arrival & equipment
Have your tickets, rentals and equipment ready before the session starts. If buying tickets or renting equipment on site, allow the following time before your session.
Allow extra time for conditions on the day. Once fully ready, be at the designated meeting point on time.
EVERY MINUTE MATTERS
Starting on time
Please plan for traffic, parking and queues for tickets or rentals. These delays are also subject to the student late-arrival rules.
If the student is late
The session still ends at its originally scheduled time. Missed time is not refunded or made up.
If TXSNOW or the instructor causes a delay
Compensation is provided at twice the length of the delay.
READY TO RIDE, READY TO LEARN
Safety & physical readiness
All students must wear a properly fitted helmet, including adults.
Follow safety instructions
Wear warm, waterproof clothing suitable for skiing or snowboarding. Follow your instructor’s safety guidance throughout the session.
Speak up when you need to
Tell the instructor immediately if you are injured, unwell or tired. Do not push yourself to continue. Time missed because a student needs to rest, seek medical care or end early due to their own condition is not refunded or made up.
Participate safely
If a student refuses to wear a helmet, or cannot participate safely because of alcohol or drugs, the instructor may refuse or immediately end the session. The affected session time is not refunded or made up.
LOOKING AFTER THE WHOLE GROUP
Unexpected events in group sessions
An injury or incident may affect the session. The response depends on the session format and conditions on site.
One instructor, multiple students
If a student is injured and the instructor needs to accompany them for medical care or manage the incident, the session may pause or end early. Time missed as a result is not refunded or made up.
Dynamic Group Session · 2:4
Usually, one instructor assists with the incident while the other continues with the remaining students, if it is safe to do so. Dual-instructor teaching resumes when the instructors reunite. If conditions require the entire group’s session to pause or end, the missed time is not refunded or made up.
A SAFE HANDOVER, EVERY TIME
Kids Master pickup & late-pickup fees
Set up your child’s Pickup Code before the session. At pickup, the parent or designated person enters the correct code on the webpage provided by the instructor. The child can leave only after verification.
Arrive 15 minutes before the session ends.
Be at the agreed meeting point and ready for handover.
Late-pickup fees
Fees start from the originally scheduled session end time and are charged at the applicable Snow Buddy Time rate. Each 15-minute block is billable; a partial block is rounded up to 15 minutes.
Stay reachable
Keep your phone available throughout the session for support, unexpected events or early pickup. Parents must still assist children who cannot use the toilet independently. If pickup is late, the instructor will continue to supervise the child and contact the parent and TXSNOW.
FOLLOWING YOUR CHILD’S NEEDS
Adjustments during Kids Master sessions
Kids Master applies Montessori-inspired ideas to learning on snow. Instructors adapt the content and pace to the child’s condition.
When technical learning needs a pause
If a child is upset, tired or temporarily not ready for technical learning, but can still safely take part in lower-intensity activities, the instructor may immediately switch to low-intensity companionship or introductory activities within Snow Buddy Time. This is based on professional judgement about safety and the child’s needs, without prior guardian consent. The guardian will be notified as soon as practicable.
When participation needs to stop
If a child continues to refuse to participate, the instructor will not force them and will contact the guardian to discuss ending early. If the child is clearly unwell, has an abnormal body temperature or is assessed as unfit to continue, the instructor will stop the activity and contact the guardian. Resort patrol will be called first if needed.
Time not completed because of these adjustments or an early end is not made up or refunded.
